Glaze & Gather: Rings and Things Beginners Ceramic Glaze Workshop Monday, September 7th(6-8PM The Art Lounge)

Join us for a relaxing ceramic glazing class where you’ll paint two small ceramic pieces: either two ring dishes or one ring dish and another ceramic item. You’ll use colorful glazes and simple design techniques to create pieces that are uniquely yours. At the end of class, your work will be collected, fired in a kiln, and ready for pickup about one week later. A third item may be available to purchase during class, depending on supplies.

What to Expect

Come spend the evening creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces in this beginner-friendly glazing class. Each participant will glaze two small ceramic items: either two ring dishes or one ring dish plus another ceramic piece. You’ll personalize your pieces using ceramic glazes while being guided through the basics of the glazing process, including layering color, adding patterns, creating details, and exploring your own design style.

This class is perfect for all skill levels—no ceramics experience is needed. Whether you want to create something soft and simple, bold and colorful, or detailed and decorative, you’ll have time to experiment, relax, and enjoy the process. Ring dishes are great for holding jewelry, keys, coins, or tiny keepsakes, and your additional ceramic item will give you even more room to play with color and design.

At the end of the night, your finished pieces will stay with us to be professionally fired in a kiln. This final firing makes the glaze permanent, glossy, and ready to use. Pieces will be available for pickup approximately one week after class.

Depending on available supplies, guests may also have the option to purchase and glaze a third ceramic item during the event. Come ready to unwind, get creative, and enjoy a fun night of pottery painting!
