Beginners Tie Dye Class: Tuesday, June 16th (Art Lounge 6-9pm)

$65.00

Discover the magic of color in this 2.5-hour beginner tie-dye workshop. We’ll cover the essentials—classic folds and binding techniques (spiral, bullseye, crumple, and stripes), color placement, safety, and dye-setting—then explore both traditional liquid dyeing and the dreamy textures of ice dye. No experience needed. All materials provided (gloves, dyes, tools, plus a tote or a bandana to dye), and you’re welcome to bring 1–2 clean, 100% cotton items. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting colorful. You’ll leave with at least two custom pieces and the confidence to keep creating at home.

We’ll start with a short safety and color overview, practice a few classic folds, then create two projects—one with traditional dyes and one with ice dye so you can see those gorgeous watercolor effects. I’ll demo patterns, help with color choices, and share pro tips for saturation and negative space. We’ll wrap with care instructions so your pieces stay vibrant, and at home washing techniques. Gloves on—let’s make something you’ll love to wear.
